Construction Zones and Signage

We all know that Edmonton and all of Alberta has two seasons; winter and construction. 

Construction season can be long and frustrating, but what needs to be kept in mind is safety. Construction zones are filled with hazards such as heavy equipment, loose gravel, steel plates, plywood covering open holes and just open holes in general. Let's not forget that there is also construction workers moving around from point A to B constantly.

We want to remind everyone to please follow the posted speed limit signs, and to obey the construction signs such as " Road Closure" and "Side Walk Closed". These signs are in place for your safety and the safety of the workers, so please do not move them. Did you know that you can be fined for moving construction zone signs? Plan any routes that you may need to take ahead of time to be able to best avoid any delays and make your day easier!

At the end of the day we want everyone to get home safely.
